Wedding florists – One of the most important decisions a bride will make is the choice of wedding flowers. Gerberas, roses, lilies, calla lilies, peonies, dahlias, lavender and hydrangeas are some popular choices for bride and bridesmaid posies.
Wedding venues – mainly in Yorkshire and Derbyshire. From country hotels in the Peak District, to contemporary urban venues such as museum galleries.
Wedding Caterers to suit all numbers, budgets and tastes. Maybe some of your guests are vegetarian or have a food intolerance? None of this should present a problem.

Our handmade wedding stationery covers many themes. Our Butterfly design is made with a beautiful wide organza ribbon, cut into the shape of a butterfly. This wedding invitation can be made handmade to suit any colour scheme. We have the following ribbon colours in stock; white, ivory, yellow, silver, gold, toffee, baby pink, hot pink, wine, red, lilac, dark plum, baby blue, royal blue, navy blue, forest green, turquoise, brown and black. Butterflies are a very popular theme with wedding invitations. As a symbol, the butterfly is seen as the personification of a person’s soul. A symbol of love, beauty and freedom. Also a symbol of a new life, when the butterfly emerges from its cocoon.
The inspiration behind our handmade Coast design comes from weddings abroad, especially beach themed weddings which are becoming very popular. The Coast invitations feature a single terracotta coloured starfish embellishment, coloured pearlescent card, linen fabric and natural raffia.
They say diamonds are a girls best friend, which inspired us with our handmade Crystal wedding invitations. Unfortunately not made with actual diamonds, but with gems, heart shaped and round. We also use elegant pieces of handmade ‘angel hair’ or ‘spiders web’ paper.
We at Ever After Designs have a love of beads and beading, which is represented in our Eternity design. A single spiral of silver plated wire threaded with seed beads of different colours. A sophisticated yet funky invitation.
One of our most popular handmade wedding stationery products is our Natural invitation. Featuring an elongated handmade heart shaped wooden embellishment, handmade papers and natural raffia. The heart is a symbol of love, passion, relationships, the soul, emotions and affection.
Flowers are a very personal choice when it comes to weddings, and can play a huge part in an overall wedding theme. This includes the handmade invitations and stationery. Our Lily and Rose designs feature handmade flowers made with coloured mulberry paper, wire and white foam. The Lily wedding invitation features one single Calla lily with a spiral stem and a white pearlescent bead. The Rose handmade wedding invitation is made with two intertwined white rose buds with a spiral stem. When it comes to symbolism, the Rose is a symbol of beauty, femininity and love. Different colours represent different meanings. Yellow = friendship, Red = romance, Pink = youthful love and White = innocence and purity. The Calla Lily is a symbol of rebirth, marriage and purity. The white Calla Lily is a symbol of great beauty.
Our handmade Pearl wedding stationery is made with two heart shaped embellishments made up of tiny pearlescent beads. We have taken a traditional theme and transformed it into a modern invitation design. The Pearl is a symbol of purity, harmony, humility and the power to protect life.
Useful Handmade Wedding Invitation Information
It is an entirely personal decision when it comes to the style of the invitation. It represents the bride and groom, their relationship and also the occasion, whether it be a relaxed, informal gathering or maybe a traditional and formal event.
Our handmade wedding invitations and stationery are all made with high quality white ‘hammered’ or ‘linen’ card. The inserts are printed on high quality (100gsm) white paper. We are also able to print text in any font or font colour, which helps when it comes to personalising your handmade stationery. We are always happy to help with wording and layout, not just for the wedding invitations but also for any other item of handmade wedding stationery. The Order of Service is often the most complicated, but we have a lot of experience that we can use to help in any way that we can.
Traditionally, a wedding is hosted by the parents of the bride, and they would be the first names on the invitation, as the hosts. Nowadays it is more common for the bride and groom to be the hosts. The stationery wording can be arranged to suit either of these approaches. Either way, the hosts should be the ones to give out the invitations. |
